Purchase orders from local, county, state, and federal governmental agencies in the USA are welcome.
Please call 212-967-4030 as purchase orders cannot be done online.

All other orders must be prepaid unless prior arrangements are made.
No C.O.Ds.

Most equipment comes with a 90-day warranty. Some restrictions apply.
Some products have additional manufacturer’s warranties.

Defective products will be replaced or repaired.

Due to the nature of many products, all equipment and video sales are considered final and non-returnable unless defective.

All returns require:

• prior authorization
   
• an authorization number
   

Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.

By purchasing, the buyer represents that he/she holds seller harmless for any use or misuse.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to:

• ascertain and obey all applicable local, state, and federal laws
   
• understand legal restrictions related to possession and/or use
   

Laws vary from state to state.
Purchaser agrees to consult an attorney should any question arise regarding intended use.

Some items are restricted to certain specializations and functions.
Some require a license in certain states.

Some materials and products require letterhead authority to order and therefore cannot be ordered online.

We stock an ample supply of products listed on this site.

The majority of products (except custom badges) ship within 48 hours of receiving the order on business days.

Time service for Saturday, Sunday, and holiday orders begins the following business day.

Thomas Investigative Publications, Inc. is known for quick order processing:

• Orders placed before noon usually ship the same day
   
• Orders placed after noon may ship the next business day
   

Many items are restricted to U.S. sales only.

Many products may require a license from:

• the U.S. Department of Commerce
   
• the U.S. State Department
   

We do not ship any product requiring export licensing outside the USA.

International orders:

• can only be shipped via UPS Air (insured)
   
• must be shipped to the credit card billing address
   
• shipping cost: $65.00 (includes UPS air, insurance, signature card, export charges)
   

We reserve the right to hold company or personal check orders for a reasonable time pending bank clearance.

For the protection of both parties, all credit card orders undergo a security verification beyond simple authorization.

Orders for equipment must be shipped to the credit card billing address.

Verification includes:

• confirming credit card ownership
   
• verifying your telephone number, email address, and ISP
   

Any attempt at credit card fraud is forwarded to:

• law enforcement
   
• the credit card company
   
• the cardholder
   

Some international orders are restricted or prohibited.

Customs forms will state:

• exact contents
   
• declared value (must match selling price; no exceptions)

International orders require minimum $65.00 insured UPS air export shipping, including export fees.

Orders for custom badges are restricted to authorized individuals.

Requirements:

• Law enforcement badges require letterhead authority (mail or fax)
   
• Private investigation/security badges require:
   
  • company letterhead authority
     
  • verification with state licensing authority
     

Custom badges require multiple manufacturing steps and take 4 to 8 weeks.

Occasionally, products (including books not published by us) may be placed on backorder.

Customers will be notified by mail.

Backorders may take:

• 1 to 6 weeks (if out of print and awaiting reprint)
   
• 4 to 8 weeks for imported products
